Churchill Downs

R7 – MSW 60k

#8 Demolition (3-1) – Walked out of the gate in debut and made a huge wide run to finish 4th. Adds lasix today and a better break will land him in the winner’s circle.
#12 Locomotion (12-1) – Fired a gate bullet last week and Geroux hops aboard for his maiden voyage. This train can be rolling at 1st asking.
#9 Principe Guilherme (10-1) – Looks ready off long string of works for Asmussen, who doesn’t typically work them too hard in the mornings.
#7 Nottoway (7-2) – Exits same race as #8 Demolition and didn’t have the cleanest trip himself, but he did hang a bit when he got into contention.

R8 – OC 75k/N1X

#8 Get the Facts (4-1) – Finally put it all together in start #4 and this top barn does well Turf to Dirt. Leparoux should secure a stalk a pounce type of trip.
#4 Private Eye (5-1) – Bounced back from a brutal trip in debut and finished strongly in maiden win at Keeneland. He’s been gelded since and should not have any issues with the two turns.
#3 Colonel Fred (10-1) – Draws well again and Divito known for having success with 2yr olds. He’ll be checked for class, but fits well with the projected race shape,
#5 Granpa Knows Best (3-1) – Both 2nd and 3rd place finishers in his maiden victory have come right back to win. He’ll probably have to rate because #2 Make Noise has plenty of early lick.

R9 – OC 80k/N3X (Turf 8F)

#9 Miss Gossip (Ire) (8-1) – Has been freshened up since battling stakes company in sprints and should be forwardly placed.
She’s fired fresh in all 3 of her wins.
#3 Browse (5-2) – Coming off her best performance to date and Shug has figured out her preferred trip and distance. Dangerous right back.
#10 Celestial Insight (3-1) – Came up a little short in both tries at this same level during the spring meet. She’s definitely a contender and we will see if Leparoux can get her over the top.
#7 Wealthy Shipman (8-1) – Seems to always run her race, but this is a step up in competition than she’s been facing in California.

R10 – Md 10k

#11 Malibu At Midnight (6-1) – Drops to lowest level to date and his last Churchill start two back puts him right there. Probably better suited to be closer to the pace early in this race.
#3 Diamond Delight (5-2) – Has burned some money in last two and just stopped running in most recent effort at Keeneland. Shows a solid work since and could have it his own way on the front end with the drop in class.
#1 Jon Knowsthecode (8-1) – $300k purchase can be had for $10k today. Eligible to wake up first time on dirt and biggest drop in the game.
#2 Justanotherbird (5-1) – Absolutely fits at this level and must be considered for a minor slice as one of the top 3 should get it done.
