First washout day at Saratoga in a long time Sunday and Monday dawning as more of the same. Turf-heavy slate will be chopped up with only a shocking one MTO in the 5 scheduled grass events. It was still an entertaining day of racing nationwide despite Monmouth similarly soggy for Haskell Day. With Exaggerator’s 3rd (sploshy) G1 win of the year, American Cleopatra’s big debut and Lord Nelson’s stunning G1 Bing Crosby, the weekend closed out well after Saturday’s engaging action.
