Gulfstream Park
R4 – G3 Marshua’s River (Turf 8.5F)
#1 Sandiva (Ire) (9-5) – Working like she’s ready to fire off the bench and we know she likes this course.
#2 Partisan Politics (4-1) – Looks to get a nice stalking trip and the inside draw really helps her chances.
#6 Devine Aida (6-1) – Comes in fresh and she should be a factor right from the bell.
#7 Hope Cross (Ire) (5-1) – Seems to always bring it and should round out bottom of exotics.
R7 – G2 Hal Hope
#3 Mshawish (8-5) – Looked like a winner late in the G1 Cigar and is working lights out for 2nd dirt try.
#1 Matrooh (9-5) – The light bulb went on when he cut back in distance last fall. Must break clean and follow Mr. Jordan early for his best chance.
#4 Valid (3-1) – Has accomplishment a ton, but must overcome legit G1 types in top 2 choices.
#2 Jordan (6-1) – Should be stronger in 2nd start off a break and the turn back to one turn also helps. Bravo will see how far he can take them.
R8 – MSW 50k
#6 Majesto (3-1) – Solid two races to start career and that might just prove to be enough to graduate here. Top jock Ortiz hops aboard.
#10 Super Bird (20-1) – This trip should fit him like a glove and that bullet blowout could have been the wake up call.
#9 Hint of Roses (12-1) – Local works have been sharp and he is expected to stay the trip.
#14 Conquest Sandman (6-1) – Not thrilled with the draw, but Lezcano will probably find the rail early before angling outside turning for home.
R9 – OC 75k/C
#3 Cherry Wine (3-1) – Romans known for getting these young runners to improve with time and this one seems to like the GP dirt.
#1 One More Shot (12-1) – After crushing rivals in Tampa, the high % Ness barn decides to ship the WV bred to So Fla. Sign me up.
#7 Southside Warrior (5-1) – Continues improving and has displayed a nice late kick. Leparoux fits his style well.
#9 Perfect Saint (8-1) – Not sure if it was the sloppy sealed track or the Graded stakes company that caused the dull effort in last, but Romans must be respected with the Calumet homebred after showing decent local drills.
R10 – G2 Ft Lauderdale (Turf 8.5F)
#7 War Correspondent (4-1)- Clement no stranger bringing them back ready off the bench and this 6yr old still has some upside to him with the talent he’s displayed.
#1 Lochte (3-1) – Hard knocker is in sharp form and looks primed for another big run.
#11 Heart to Heart (6-1) – Speed always dangerous at Gulfstream but he’ll have to work a little harder to get the lead with #10 Fredericksburg drawn to his inside.
#8 Takeover Target (5-1) – Multiple G2 winner was shutdown in early October and faces elders for the 1st time here.
R11 – MSW 50k (Turf 7.5F)
#11 City Flyer (6-1) – BEST BET – Has the experience edge and has been taking a decent amount of money in all 3 career starts. Casse even had him debut versus winners. Also, he exits a live race where the top 3 finishers along with the 9th place finisher came back and won their next start. Lots to like.
#9 Stockyard (7-2) – Regally bred colt has been working in So Fla since September and these connections are no strangers to the winner’s circle at 1st asking.
#1 Consumerconfidence (4-1) – Another superior connections play that shows a long string of works for debut.
#6 Not a Chance (10-1) – Actually has a legit chance after strong debut at Laurel going 5.5F on the Turf as the favorite. Looks to stalk and pounce.
PK5 – 1 3 4 / 2 5 6 9 10 12 14 / 1 3 7 8 9 / 7 / 11 = $52.50
PK4 – 2 3 5 6 9 10 12 14 / 1 3 7 8 9 / 1 7 11 / 11 = $60 for $.50
Santa Anita
R6 – G3 Sham
#4 Found Money (6-1) – Bounced back from average Delta Jackpot effort and will be a factor throughout on the front end.
#3 Let’s Meet in Rio (6-1) – Baffert confident enough to try graded company and the 1st time lasix will help.
#2 Dressed in Hermes (7-2) – Continues moving in the right direction and expecting Smith to save ground before uncorking a late rally.
#9 Collected (3-1) – Interesting to see what Garcia will do because he’ll have options early. In the mix for all slots.
Tri Key – 4 / 2 3 7 9
Tri P/W – 2 3 7 9 / 4 / 2 3 7 9
